Green Registration Form

The Amherst Fourth of July Committee is looking forward to celebrating the birth of America

with you on the Village Green!

Booth space on the Village Green for the celebration is open to non-profit organization, groups

affiliated with the Town of Amherst, art show participants, or any organization invited by the

Fourth of July Committee.

• Applications are due June 15th. Applications WILL NOT be accepted after this date.

• There is no longer a fee for booths selling items. All items sold or given away must be approved by the Fourth of July Committee.

Booth Information/Guidelines:

  • Booth space is 10ft x 10ft. Space assignments are at the discretion of the 4th of July Committee.

  • Booth assignments will be available by 7:00 am on July 4th.

  • There is no parking available for booth vendors on the edge of the green. Unloading times are

from 7-9 am on the morning of the 4th in designated areas. Once unloaded, you should be able to

find street parking.

  • Organizations are responsible for their own tables/tents/decorations (red/white/blue)

  • Insurance regulations require all stakes and anchors to be marked and protected to avoid

injury.

  • Items for sale and activities must be approved by the committee and cannot be in direct competition with items

offered by the committee (hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, slush, water, soft drinks, or face painting).

  • The selling of items is limited to those with an approved booth and is limited to Amherst

organizations, state organizations, artists, and other committee-approved organizations.

  • Organizations selling or giving away food or drink of any kind are required to provide insurance

with the Town of Amherst listed as the insured for the day. These organizations should check

with their insurance agents to see if they have sufficient protection.

  • No soliciting. “Solicitations” in this context refers to requests for donations, promotion of

services or products, requests for signatures via petitioning, or any other similar activity as

determined by the Committee. Valid booth occupants may engage in promotion of messages or

requests for support consistent with the mission of their organization as long as those activities

occur at the booth itself and do not conflict with the Committee’s other restrictions, such as sales

of concessions.

  • At the end of the day, each group is asked to remove its bagged trash from the green. Bags

are available at the information booth. Carry in, carry out!!

  • If Green activities are canceled due to inclement weather, the decision will be made by 7am on

July 4th. Cancellation be on WMUR and the committee social media pages.
