Many thanks go to the town, schools, and public works departments that do so much to make the 4th of July celebrations a success. Also thank you to the Amherst Congregational Church and the Brick School for the use of their restrooms; to Rolf Biggers for the use of the BMA Architectural Group lot for accessible parking; to the animal owners and crafts people who give up their day to add to their celebration and to the many volunteers who man booths, march in the parade, make floats or help with the events. So many Amherst people make this a community event to celebrate.
Donations:
Our goal is to raise funds to offset the increased cost of entertainment. During the 2022-2025 planning season, the committee made hard decisions around where to cut costs and what kinds of entertainment were integral to the event. It is our hope to raise enough to invite each marching back to join us while bringing back time-honored traditions like the roaming railroad. The Amherst July 4th Celebration continues to be a well-attended event that is the highlight of the summer for many an Amherst resident. We hope you will consider a donation to this long-standing tradition for with your help, we can continue to mark the birth of the nation together at this quintessential New England affair. Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and willingness to help make the Amherst July 4th Celebration a great time for the community.
Please note that donations made through the Amherst Community foundation are tax deductible while donations made directly to the town on behalf of the committee are not.
